The housebuilder has bought a former sergeant’s mess building and land surrounding the property, with plans to develop 70 homes on the site. This is located on Bellew Road at the former Princess Royal Barracks in Deepcut.
Specifically within the Edwardian style building, 33 apartments will be created in the former sergeants’ mess with two, three, four and five-bedroom homes built in the grounds.
Out of the 70 properties in total, 65 will be for market sale and five for shared ownership.

Covering 114 hectares, the barracks is now being transformed into a new neighbourhood - Mindenhurst - with Skanska leading the masterplan development.
Weston Homes’ Deepcut plans follow the completion of a similar scheme nearby, where the housebuilder carried out a £60m residential development in Aldershot - creating 140 homes on the site of the Cambridge Military Hospital.
“Our acquisition of the former Sergeants’ Mess at Deepcut adds another exciting development opportunity to our portfolio,” said Bob Weston, chairman of Weston Homes.
“Weston Homes has an extensive history of renovating and reinvigorating historic buildings into new residential addresses and we are proud to build homes that offer both rich heritage and the convenience of modern life.”
